Computing

he 2014 National Curriculum dramatically changed the way Computing was to be taught in schools. There is now a greater focus on programming skills, use of a wider range of software and a secure knowledge of e-safety. At Hellingly we follow a comprehensive programme of study called Switched on Computing and now have a fantastic computer suite for up to 16 pupils at a time.

We would like to encourage Parents and Carers to support their children’s learning of Computing at home and we have provided a list of websites which will really help them to practice the skills they have learnt at school.
