Unfortunately, the heating issues have not yet been resolved in the main building. There is also no hot water. However, we would really like to open the school and celebrate Christmas with the children. Having sought advice and secured temporary heaters we are planning to open the school tomorrow morning until midday (before the children get cold at break and the temperature drops in the afternoon). These heaters will take the edge off the cold - it is not freezing but it is not normal temperature. There is no heating in the hall so we will not be serving lunch and we will postpone the End of Term cups assembly to Thursday 3rd January.

We completely understand if you prefer to keep your child off school and this will not be unauthorised. However, if you want to send your child into school for the morning wrapped up warmly, wearing a coat and scarf, we would love to see them and the children are welcome to bring a blanket or throw to snuggle up in if they wish.

Please make a choice about attendance based upon your own circumstances and organise for the children to be collected at 12.00 noon if you wish to send them into school. We appreciate the inconvenience caused by the heating problem and thank you all for your patience and support.

We wish all our families a very merry Christmas and hope to see you tomorrow.

Kind regards

Mrs Crawford

We have heard from the heating engineers that the boiler is unable to be fixed for tomorrow so school will be closed again. As today, the KS2 Carol Service will take place in the Church at 2.00pm. The End of Term Cups will be presented on Wednesday morning when school will hopefully be open again. We will send out another email if school will need to be closed again on Wednesday. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your support. Mrs Crawford. ... See MoreSee Less

lol, I was up late getting the mbira kits ready; typical 😄 We'll they'll have to wait until after Christmas.

Unfortunately the heating system at school is not working so we have to close the school today. The Carol Concert will still be able to take place (unrehearsed) at 2.00pm at the Church for those who are able to make this. We hope to be able to open tomorrow morning if we are unable to. Thank you for your support. Mrs Crawford ... See MoreSee Less
