A Leadership & Management
Priority A1: To continue to ensure the quality of leadership and management is outstanding and leaders have the capacity to improve standards across the school Objectives:

  1. To embed the use of Spirals of Enquiry model to improve outcomes for pupils
  2. To further develop the capacity of senior leaders to improve standards across the school
Priority A2: To manage the town wide increase in school population for 2018-2019 Objectives:

  1. To work with local authority & school stake holders to support increase in population
B Teaching, Learning & Assessment
Priority B1: Improve standards in reading across the school Objectives:

  1. To improve pupil ability to accurately read high quality texts for sustained periods of time
  2. To improve pupil vocabulary and accuracy of inference and deduction skills
Priority B2: Improve standards in writing across the school Objectives:

  1. To improve accuracy of spelling across the school
  2. To improve handwriting across the school
C Personal Development, Behaviour & Welfare
Priority C1: Raise aspirations for personal development and behaviour across the school Objectives:

  1. Improve pupil resilience in the classroom
  2. Further improve pupil attitudes towards learning
D Outcomes for Children and Learners
Priority D1:  Accelerate progress and close the gap for vulnerable pupils in reading, writing and mathematics Objectives:

  1. Improve monitoring of progress for vulnerable pupils including gender
  2. Improve quality of teaching and learning for vulnerable pupils including gender
Priority D2: Accelerate progress and close the gender gap between girls and boys in reading, writing and mathematics
E Effectiveness of the Early Years Provision
Priority E1: Accelerate progress and close the gender gap between boys and girls achieving their Good Level of Development Objectives:

  1. Improve monitoring and tracking of progress for boys and girls in EYFS
  2. Improve quality of teaching and learning in reading, writing and maths for boys and girls in EYFS
