Today has been another busy and adventurous day at Hindleap, the day kick started with ‘Forest adventures’, where the children had to create their own ‘Dropbear Protection Suits’ to protect themselves from the infamous Drop Bears. Megan, Charlie and Mrs Gordon’s DPS were particularly effective!
After a rummage around the beautiful woodlands the children were taken on a wet and muddy trail, ending with the long jump into a very, very muddy puddle!
Brooke particularly the muddy experience and even Mrs Ribbons took a dip into the muddy water!
After a warm shower for everyone and another good lunch, the children then took part in shelter building and fire lighting. Kaitlynne, Hannah C and Libby impressed everyone during ‘Bush craft’ with their fire lighting skills, they used a metal flint to create a spark and watched their cotton wool light up!
Finally the children enjoyed toasting their marshmallows on the fires, even if Rhianna did end up getting more mashmallow in her hair than her mouth!
A dip in the pool this evening and then off to bed for all, we all have another exciting day tomorrow!
When i was going through the long jump into mud, I got my foot stuck and I fell head first into it!
Pretty much the same for me – it was so deep I was nearly out of my depth!
I sat in it and sat in it
Building camps was so much fun especially as my team won!
Mrs Gordon love your picture!
What was your favorite part?
This is a hard question, Bethany, as I loved every part of my day! I loved watching all of my group achieve great heights on the Jacobs Ladder. The food at Hindleap was also amazing!
I loved seeing the deer – it was so so so so so cool even the stags were amazing on the playground.
So do I!
Same xx lol
Bush craft was so much fun and great for team work – helping other team mates.
I did bushcraft in not this summer holidays but the last one twice a week.
Nice antlers Megan!
We got so muddy!I couldn’t move in the mud!
Do not try to eat the mud
My favourite part Bethany was the leap of faith but i enjoyed evry single bit so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so amazing.
I’m so muddy in that picture – anyone agree?
Yes Brooke of course you are . But it was so fun getting covered in MUD!
I love the blog – it’s so cool and I loved all of Hindleap!
My favourite part of the day Beth was when we went through the drop bear enclosure, a nice hot shower and swimming in the evening – although it was very cold. I got out a few minutes early and had to put on these funny blue covers on my shoes – it was so hilarious, all the teachers had to wear them. And yes Brooke you do look muddy.
You must have had fun!
My team won the shelter thing and because of that we got first dibs on the cakes. Guess what were they called?
